1. Extrusion
DAC produces high strength aluminum tubing through a process called 'mandrel
type' or 'seamless' extrusion.
Most soft alloy aluminum, on the other hand, are extruded by a process called
'porthole' or 'bridge' type. Another way of producing tube is sheet welding.
However, only seamless extrusion guarantees uniform micro structure while
porthole extrusion or welding cannot avoid seamline or welding zone |

2. Drawing
The surface condition, dimension and tolerance of final product are mostly
determined by drawing process.
Drawing highly sensitive high strength aluminum tubes require special care
and treatment. |

3. Heat Treatment
Solution heat treatment is one of the key process of high strength aluminum.
DAC maintains +/- 3 degree C for solution heat treatment in order to achieve
uniform strength of the material.
4. Artificial Aging
Precipitation hardening for 7001 material is achieved
after solution heat treatment /quenching. This is called 'Artifical Aging.
When needed, T8 or T9 process is applied to meet special requirements
of customers.
Using the same material, higher strength can be achieved through T8 or
T9 by sacrificing ductility.
